Join others at UNL in this 100-day Healthy Lifestyle Challenge with optional weight management component:

Learn to manage your weight in a healthy way. Use this online social networking program to set and attain a physically active, healthy eating lifestyle. With daily exercise and healthy eating tips, videos, and more- this program provides success at your fingertips! It is an ideal tool to help your "New Year to a New You" resolutions become your reality. Friends, family, and co-workers can participate in this UNL Challenge. Program runs January-April. Well on Your Weigh

12 week weight management program developed and implemented by UNL professional/licensed/certified staff with over 30 years combined experience in nutrition, exercise, and wellness. This program, targeted at UNL faculty/staff and students, focuses on providing education, skill development, and safe social support opportunities in the areas of physical activity and nutrition. Participants must have a BMI of 27.5 or above to participate.

*Weight loss differs per individual, but can be expected if all guidelines set by the Weight Management Program are adhered to.

Train for a 10k Walk or Run Beginner Program

Train to walk or run your first 10k May 25-July 13: Cost $15 per person. This 8-week program is tailored towards walkers looking to increase their endurance and/or beginning runners. Training dates are set to coincide with the Nebraska State Games VolksWalk held Saturday/Sunday, July 16/17. All participants are encouraged to sign up for the Volkswalk. Looking for a Walking Group?

Join wellness for a 30-minute early morning walk and pick up a well balanced breakfast. Cost = $3 to cover food.
This activity occurs during 1st 5 week session (June 6-July 8.)

  • Trek and Treat - Thursdays, 7:00am-7:30am at East Campus. Meet outside of East Campus Activities Building.
  • Feet and Eat - Fridays, 7:00 am - 7:30 am on city campus. Meet outside of Campus Recreation, 14th Street entrance.
